Social media users circulated a video clip, which was monitored by surveillance cameras from the Banilia market area, in the city of Kafr El-Dawwar, in the Beheira Governorate.
The clip showed a young man getting in the way of a girl and assaulting her, throwing her to the ground and dragging her, trying to take her to a side place, had it not been for the intervention of some people following hearing the girl’s screams.
The publisher of the clip said that the incident began following one of the dogs in the area chased the girl, so she had to run and a sandal fell from her, and here the assailant called her to hand it to her, so she stopped and was surprised to start assaulting her.
He added that this young man is famous for loitering in different areas of the city, and the incident happened yesterday morning, Friday, a time when all the shops were closed, which made it easier for him to assault them.
