Thiruvananthapuram: Young leader AA Rahim (41) has been chosen as the CPM’s candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections. He is a member of the CPM State Committee and the National President of the DYFI. Venjaramoodu is a native of Manikkal, Thiruvananthapuram.
He holds a Masters Degree in Islamic History from the University College and a Bachelor of Laws. He has also worked as a journalist for Kairali TV. He has also served as SFI State Vice President, DYFI State Secretary and Chairman, University of Kerala. In 2011, he contested as an LDF candidate in Varkala.
