AANETTOS: Empowering Malayalees in the UK for a Stronger Community

London ∙ History was born when many people came together with the same mind. AANETTOS Winners Group, a group of Malayalees who came to the UK without the help of any agent and without spending a single penny, had their first meeting at Ottershaw Village Hall, Chert C on Sunday 24th with elaborate events. 80 family members, who had never seen each other before and only talked through social media groups and helped each other, met and celebrated for the first time.

Siju, who is the founder of AANETTOS and heads the group’s operations, presides. Giri Suresh was the chief guest.Mr.Deepesh gave greetings. Apart from the chief guests, Janani Jayan, who celebrated her sixth birthday that day, and Deepa Dipesh’s family, who were selected by lot from the group members, lit the lamp. Android tab was given as a gift to a lucky winner selected through a draw. In addition to many useful classes, singing and performing arts programs and delicious food filled everyone’s mind.

About 500 Malayalees came to the UK for free with the help of AA NETTOS group led by Siju, Anoop, Toms, Jayan, Shaji Sebastian and Shaji Joseph with the aim of saving Malayalis as much as possible from the exploitation of middlemen. The family reunion was attended by the first 80 registrants and their families who arrived in the UK from overseas. The organizers have announced that they have decided to hold a much larger family gathering next year. The Kudumba Sangam became a huge success with the collective efforts of all the members along with the coordinators Siju, Anoop, Lijo, Antony, Toms, Shaji, Jayan, Libu, Benzi, Rahul, Rinto and Anish Joseph.
