Abandoned is still on the way, don’t worry! In recent days, the spiritual successor of Silent Hill was the target of rumors which announced its stop, and for good reason: several tweets from the studio, one of which evoked the demo, has been deleted.
As often, many sites got carried away and indicated that Abandoned was dead from dead. Blue Box Studios did not hear it that way, and posted the following statement on Twitter: “Regarding the recent rumors about the cancellation of Abandoned, we wanted to make it known that these rumors are false. We are working on a presentation via Realtime Experience and other means, as well as the prologue of the game. All of this was planned for the first quarter of 2022 but unfortunately, we were not ready. Consequently, we have postponed the announcement and the date of Abandoned : Prologue ».

It will therefore be necessary expect a little bit before fully discovering this new horror game, but at least things are still on the way! It also appears that Abandoned : Prologue will be a full-fledged gamethough more humble in size than Abandoned himself.
The Realtime Experience the studio is talking about is an upcoming gameplay showcase event – something we probably won’t see any time soon, then. It will be a priori exclusive to the PS5, but PC players will be able to console (so to speak…) with the full version of the game a bit later.
So let’s hope that Blue Box Studios continues to take the necessary time, in order to be able to offer us the most complete version of its vision. And in the meantime, why not see the trailer for Abandoned below ?
