Zurich (awp) – The Zurich electrical engineering conglomerate ABB has acquired the entirety of Sevensense, an offshoot of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) dedicated to robot navigation assisted by artificial intelligence. The press release released Thursday did not say a word about the financial contours of the operation.
The multinational had already gained a foothold in the capital of the young company at the end of 2021, offering itself a stake that was then not quantified for an undisclosed amount.
Sevensense, founded in 2018, develops artificial intelligence and three-dimensional visual mapping devices.
