The mayor of the city claimed to have had to bury around 300 people in mass graves near a church, due to the impossibility of burying them in cemeteries, exposed to the bullets of the attacking army.
Many of those who stayed in the city are older adults unable to flee. “We stayed in the cellar for 15 days. We had food, but there was no light or heating. We heated the water with candles and slept with our boots on,” Vasily explained.
Russia has not commented on what happened in Bucha in the last month.
