DEPUTY Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron sued the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas) at the State Administrative Court (PTUN). The monitoring agency is suspected of processing complaints related to abuse of authority that have expired.

“Legally, the expiration date is one year. “So, if it’s March 2022, the express should be in March 2023,” said Ghufron at the KPK Council Office, South Jakarta, Thursday, April 25 2024.

Ghufron explained the alleged ethical problems that befell him because he had communicated with officials at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan). He claimed that the discussion occurred because there were employees at the agency whose transfers had been stalled for two years.

It is claimed that the gap between communication and follow-up on the ethical process at the KPK Council has expired because it has been more than a year. Therefore, Ghufron sued the PTUN and registered it with number 142/G/TF2024/PTUN.JKT.

“This case (should) not work. “Well, that’s what I then decided on the PTUN,” said Ghufron.

Nurul Ghufron will undergo an ethics trial at the KPK Council next week. The problem relates to the abuse of authority regarding the transfer of an employee at the Ministry of Agriculture.

“Yes, the trial starts on May 2,” said KPK Dewas member Albertina Ho in a written statement, Wednesday, April 24 2024.

Albertina explained that Ghufron was actually being complained about together with KPK Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata. However, the colleague’s alleged ethical violation could not be proven to enter the realm of an ethics trial.
