Abu Dhabi Police Triumphs at World Games: 18 Medals Won in Canada

The Abu Dhabi Police teams participating in the World Games for Policemen and Firemen, during the fifth and sixth days of the tournament held in Winnipeg, Canada, won 18 medals, eight golds, five silvers and five bronzes.

The gold medals were won by Al-Shaali Hassan in athletics (walking 5000 meters), Sultan Al-Dhanhani in athletics (3000 steeplechase age group 30-34), Sari Al-Hammadi (3000 steeplechase age group 35-39), Fahd Al-Balushi, Majid Al-Buraiki, Mahdi Al-Ahbabi and Khaled Al-Kaabi in Shooting (rifle team), Ahmed Al-Shehhi in the competition (rowing 2000 age group 18-29), Ali Misfer in the competition (rowing 2000 age group 30-34), Ali Nassib, Saif Mayouf and Al-Shaali Hassan in the triathlon (relay relay age group 18-29), and Abdullah Al-Minhali, Jaber Al-Mansoori and Sultan Al-Dhanhani in the triathlon competition (age group 30-35).

Silver medals were won by Khaled Al Kaabi in the (rifle shooting) competition, Ibrahim Al Tunaiji in the (rowing 2000 age group 35-39) Ibrahim Al Shamsi in the rowing 2000 competition (30-34 age group), Saud Al Zaabi in the triathlon competition (individual), Ali Al Kaabi, Faisal Al Shehhi and Hazza. Al-Jallaf in the triathlon competition (age group 18-29).

The bronze medal was won by Muath Fawzi in the athletics competition (110 hurdles, age group 18-29), Majid Al-Buraiki in the (rifle shooting) competition, Sultan Al-Shehhi in the rowing competition 2000, age group (40-44), and Salem Jamal in the triathlon competition (single), and Muhammad Al-Ghafri, Nayef Al-Marzouqi and Sari Al-Hammadi in the triathlon competition (age group relay).
