Abu Rida said: “First, I did not have any declared or undeclared role in choosing the current board of directors of the Egyptian Football Association, despite my personal appreciation for all its members, and I also did not participate with the current federation in any meeting despite my legal and regulatory entitlement to its membership under my position. international”.

He added: “Secondly: The progress to organize any sporting event at any level is the responsibility of the Egyptian Football Association, which was not done during the period specified by the Confederation of African Football regarding organizing the final match of the African Champions League for this season, nor after this period, which made CAF limit its choices. on the files submitted by the civil federations in this regard.
And he continued: “Third: Over the course of 18 years, I had the honor of my role in organizing Egypt with high efficiency for many African and international events, the most important of which are the 2006 African Nations Cup, the 2009 World Youth Cup, the 2019 African Nations Cup, the African U-23 Cup 2019 and many youth and youth tournaments and other categories, in full coordination With successive Egyptian federations and under the umbrella of state institutions, foremost of which is the Ministry of Youth and Sports and all relevant agencies, as none of them delayed providing all kinds of support until Egypt has now become a global center for sports events according to a clear vision of the Egyptian state in this regard.

And he continued: “Fourth: I have never been late in supporting any Egyptian team in any foreign tournament for it, in accordance with the regulations and regulations in force, and accordingly, no Egyptian team had any legitimate right in any tournament in which it participated, but it was obtained by the grace of God, and that Without speaking out or bragging, I believe that this is the role to be played, and as much as we have witnessed setbacks during the Egyptian teams’ competitions, we have also lived through many of their victories at all levels, whether with the national teams or the Egyptian clubs.
Hani Abu Rida concluded by saying his good wishes to all the Egyptian teams, the Egyptian Federation and the Egyptian clubs in positive cooperation in order to show Egyptian football to the world with the status it deserves, making it the focus of the attention of the whole world.
