Accident and search: man pulled his ex-girlfriend into the car and drove off

A traffic accident with a hit-and-run triggered a search operation in St. Barbara im Mürztal (Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district) on Sunday morning. According to the police, the 30-year-old driver pulled his 31-year-old ex-girlfriend into the car once morest her will and drove off. The accident happened because the woman then grabbed the steering wheel. Both fled, but were investigated and reported.

Thermal imaging drones in action

A vehicle driver called the police on Sunday morning following seeing a vehicle involved in an accident next to the state road in Sankt Barbara. Because nobody was by the car, fire brigades searched for the victims of the accident with thermal imaging drones. A police patrol finally met the slightly injured 31-year-old passenger and later also investigated the 30-year-old driver who was also slightly injured.
