According to a report from Legal Medicine, so far this year 426 minors have been murdered – Opinion Caribe

Between January and August of this current year, 426 minors were murdered, including children and adolescents.

Which indicates an increase of 12.11% compared to last year, since in 2021 in the same period there were 380 homicides.

The legal medicine report specifies that the registered murders of the first 8 months of 2022 include both intentional and unintentional deaths.

The 426 homicides are between 0 to 17 years of age, 346 were men and 80 women.

The report also reads that there are a total of 1,275 minors who have died from different causes at the national level, 426 from homicide, 310 from transport-related events, 328 deaths have been accidental and 211 from suicide.
