Accused of promoting homosexuality.. Opinion of Diaman Abu Aboud in “Friends and Dearest”

The Lebanese actress, Diaman Abu Aboud, expressed her pride and happiness for her participation in the movie “Ashab Wala Aziz”, shown on the “Netflix” network.

Diaman Abu Aboud said in an interview with the ET platform in Arabic that she was proud of the work that she participated in great actors and described it as a “smart movie.”

Abu Aboud considered that the Arabic version of the film succeeded and reached the audience, despite its implementation in 19 countries around the world.

And about the possibility of her collecting a work of art with her husband, artist Hani Adel, she said: “I wish and love to act with my husband, and I see that he is a special actor, he shares and acts from his heart.”

Regarding her absence from the art scene, Diaman said: “I am not absent and filmed a work in Abu Dhabi.”

And she talked about her experience in the series “Baloo’ Al-Rouh”, which was shown in Ramadan 2022, saying: The role for her is of its quality and not its size, so she was keen to master it greatly.

Diaman described Menna Shalaby as one of the best Arab actresses and that she works from her heart, stressing that she always follows her work.

“Friends and Dearest” was shown by the Netflix platform on January 20, 2022, and it is directed by Wissam Samira and starring Mona Zaki, Iyad Nassar, Adel Karam, Nadine Labaki, George Khabbaz and Fouad Yammine.

The film was taken from the Italian movie “Complete Strangers”, and was filmed in Beirut and was followed by accusations of promoting homosexuality due to the appearance of a lesbian character in the work.
