Acting kidnaps McGregor from the rings.. temporary retirement for the martial arts star

Connor won’t come back McGregora star Martial arts to the world of sports in 2022, where he focuses on his acting debut, instead.

McGregor will not fight until 2023, as he continues to recover from his injury, while preparing to play the title role, in a remake of the movie “Roadhouse”.

His manager confirmed that the 34-year-old would not return to the ring this year, but stressed that entering the world of Hollywood would not affect his return to the sport.

McGregor has been cast alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in the remake of the classic Roadhouse, with filming set to begin in the Caribbean in the coming weeks.

“A fun little adventure and then back to fighting,” McGregor’s agent Tim Simpson told MMI Junkie, a news website covering mixed martial arts, on Tuesday.

Simpson added, “Connor is still a world-class athlete and his focus is to be the best fighter in the world, but as he continues to recover from injury, the timing is good for acting. It’s a great opportunity to make a huge Hollywood movie in the meantime.”

McGregor has not fought since last summer, when he lost to his counterpart Dustin Poirier for the second time, after sustaining a broken leg.
