Action to sell impounded vehicles, pravasi

Ras Al Khaimah: The Police General Command has launched a new digital system to auction vehicles seized for traffic violations.

The scheme will help in reducing the time involved in the sale process from three months to 45 days.

The new project was launched in collaboration with the Departments of Courts, General Resources Authority and Emirates Auction. The system includes processes like preparation of sales list, auditing and transfer of ownership of vehicles.

Police Commander-in-Chief Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi said the aim is to implement projects and initiatives that will make transport services ‘smart’.
