With the novel of the acquisition of Activision Blizzard pela Microsoft very close to reaching the end, with a positive outcome for the green side, it is common for players to wonder about the possible arrival of the company’s games on the Xbox Game Pass catalog. Now, the company has indicated what the future will be like, stating that its games will reach the subscription service starting next year.

Activision Blizzard games coming to Xbox Game Pass

In an official post on X, formerly Twitter, Activision Blizzard stated that its games will be added to Microsoft’s subscription service. However, not all titles will be available at once to subscribers. The process will be gradual and will begin in 2024. Check out what the studio said below.

It’s incredible to see the anticipation building for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. As we continue to work on regulatory approval of our agreement with Microsoft, we are receiving questions about whether our upcoming and recently released games will be available via Game Pass. While we have no plans to put Modern Warfare III or Diablo IV on Game Pass this year, once the deal is sealed, we hope to begin working with Xbox to bring our titles to more players around the world. And we anticipate that we will begin adding games to Game Pass sometime in the next year or so.

Acquisition can be guaranteed this week

In addition to titles from the Call of Duty and Diablo franchises, from 2024 Game Pass will likely feature titles from IPs such as Spyro, Warcraft, Crash Bandicoot and more.

Microsoft’s idea is that Activision Blizzard games will be available through the service for PC, Xbox consoles and the cloud through xCloud. Microsoft expects to secure the acquisition on Friday (13), with the approval of the CMA, the UK market regulatory body, which is the only pending negotiation.
