Telugu child actor and director Surya Kiran, who became famous for directing films like Satyam and Dhana 51, passed away. He died at his residence in Chennai. He was 48 years old. Reports surfaced that he succumbed to jaundice while undergoing treatment at JEM Hospital in Chennai. Apart from directing ventures, Suriya Kiran was a former contestant of Bigg Boss Telugu.
Suriya Kiran is a well-known name in the Telugu film world. In 1978, he started his career as a child actor with the Malayalam movie Snehikan Oru Penn. However, he later worked in over 200 feature films. Apart from being an actor, Kiran made his directorial debut with the Telugu romantic drama Satyam. Later, he directed several films like ‘Brahmastram’ (2006), ‘Raju Bhai’ (2007) and ‘Chapter 6’ (2010).
Suriya also participated in Bigg Boss Telugu season 4. He was married to actress Kaveri and later divorced.
