When a person goes on vacation with their loved ones, anywhere in Colombia or the world, they only hope to have truly beautiful moments. But, sometimes, this is not the case and what was expected to be a fantastic experience ends up being an eventful one.
This happened to the renowned Colombian actress Aida Bossa and her daughter. Both women decided to take a trip to New York, one of the most visited American cities and considered the capital of the world. Aida and her daughter enjoyed the city without thinking that a sudden event was going to alter their trip a little.

When everything was joy for the women, an accident soured the moment. Mikaela, Aida Bossa’s daughter, suffered a fall that, apparently, was not serious. In fact, a person helped her on the ice rink and told them that it was not serious, that it was nothing to worry about.
Already at the hospital, and after medical tests, health professionals determined that the daughter of actress Aida Bosa and actor Julio César Herrera, who was not on the trip, suffered a fibula fracture.
It is noteworthy that the fibula is “also known as the fibula, one of two long bones located in the lower leg, the other being the larger and stronger bone known as the tibia. Although the fibula is the smaller of the two, it plays a vital role in the stability and support of the overall structure of the leg,” says the Clínica Universidad de Navarra website.
“The fibula extends from the knee to the ankle, parallel to the tibia, and articulates with it at the upper and lower ends. At its upper end, the fibula has a round head that articulates with the lower part of the thigh bone, the femur, forming the superior tibiofibular joint. At its lower end, there is the lateral malleolus, a bony prominence that can be palpated on the outer side of the ankle,” he adds.
Due to the fibula fracture that Aida Bossa’s daughter suffered, she had to spend the rest of the trip through New York in a wheelchair, as she had to be put in a cast. Fortunately, the accident did not affect her visit to the capital of the world.
