Actress Anne Heche has died


Last Friday, the American actress and ex-lover of Ellen DeGeneres, Anne Heche, was the victim of a serious car accident when it crashed into a concrete wall before catching fire. She sadly passed away on August 12 following a severe anoxic brain injury and severe lung injury.

The sad news came out in a statement shared through a representative hired by the actress’s family.

By the way, at the time of publication of the press release, the actress had not yet died, but she was in a coma. She had never woken up since the accident and according to a medical team, there was only a slim chance that she would not die.

“We would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and prayers for Anne’s recovery and thank the dedicated staff and wonderful nurses who cared for Anne at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills Hospital,” says the press release.

“Unfortunately, due to her accident, Anne Heche suffered a severe anoxic brain injury and remains in a coma, in critical condition. She is not expected to survive,” it read.

“Anne had a huge heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit. In addition to her extraordinary talent, she saw spreading kindness and joy as her life’s work. […] She will be remembered for her courageous honesty and she will be sorely missed for her light,” the statement read.

Anne Heche was best known for her role in the remake of Psychobut also starred in Volcano, I Know what you did Last Summer, Donnie Brasco, Cedar Rapids et Six Days Seven Nightsto name a few projects.

During the crash, the actress was reportedly intoxicated before hitting an apartment complex at excessive speed in a neighborhood not far from her home.
