Actress Annie Wersching, known for her roles in the television series 24, Bosch and Timeless, died of cancer early on Sunday, Hollywood webzine ‘Deadline’ reported. She was 45 years old.
She continued to tour even after her cancer diagnosis in 2020, playing prominent roles in Star Trek: Picard as the Borg Queen in Season 2, and The Rookie. She also lent her voice to Tess in the famous video game The Last Of Us, which was adapted into a television series by HBO.
In a statement, Annie Wersching’s husband, actor Stephen Full, said: “There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moments. She didn’t need music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. Go find her. She is everywhere. And we will find it.”
Born and raised in St. Louis, her first big role was as Amelia Joffe in General Hospital. She went on to star as Renee Walker in seasons seven and eight of 24. She also had prominent roles in The Vampire Diaries, Runaways, Extant, Timeless, Bosch, and The Rookie recalls “Deadline” magazine.
