Actress Natalie Portman and choreographer Benjamin Millepied are separated according to “Us Weekly”.
A source close to the couple told the American magazine that the couple, who had been together for 11 years, had tried to reconcile following the revelation of an affair that Millepied would have with a French activist, but that the separation was in sight.
Rumors were high in recent days as the actress was spotted without her wedding ring at an event in Australia on August 4.

“Natalie thought this affair was nonsense and meant nothing,” a knowledgeable source told Us Weekly.
This relative had specified that the 42-year-old actress had felt “humiliated” by the rumors and that she wanted to see if she might trust her spouse once more.
“She didn’t want her children to grow up in a broken home.”
The couple met in 2009 on the set of “Black Swan”. They married in 2012 and have two children, Aleph, 12, and Amalia, six.
