Al-Marsad newspaper: The artist, Nermin Mohsen, responded to some criticism of her following her sudden move to remove the veil less than a year following wearing it.
Nermin Mohsen said, in a video clip that she posted on her account on “Snapchat”: “You know Nermin, she is not famous for social media, did you search for views in these long years? This is not in my nature.”
And she added, “I am one of the people who closed Snape for 6 months and more. I want you to know that the conditions of people are buried deep inside them. If they know these conditions, honor them for good.”
And she continued, “There are easier ways, and you know these ways. I have not paralyzed the veil from my body, what has paralyzed it from my morals, or my principles.”
And she concluded her speech: “By God, when I put the veil on, God knows that my intention was that I was wearing it forever, and what happened and what happened? This is a thing between me and my Lord that I did not harm anyone.”
