The most expensive residential transaction in London took place in January 2020. 2-8a Rutland Gate has reportedly been sold by former Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz for $210 million.

Dominika Kulczyk, daughter of the late businessman Jan Kulczyk, who was Poland’s richest man, approved the deal with Poonawala. Aberconway House is the second most expensive home ever sold in London and the biggest deal of the year, according to luxury estate agents.

The Poonawalla family have no plans to move permanently to the UK, and the London deal comes following a multi-billion pound investment in vaccine research and manufacturing facilities near Oxford.
