Additive Manufacturing R&D Day

A lot of R&D is happening in the low countries, also around 3D printing. Flam3D brings everything together in one day during the Additive Manufacturing R&D Day. The target? Learning, cross-pollination, searching for partners and maybe … translating the best ideas into a business plan?

In the Flanders-Netherlands region, a great deal of research is being done into various Additive Manufacturing technologies – a precondition for achieving better insights and ideas, and perhaps also tomorrow’s innovations, start-ups and added value for an entire economy.

Share knowledge and plans
The R&D day was inspired by the R&D world itself – a number of researchers who indicated that they were not always aware of the research at other universities, colleges or research institutes. There may still be a lot of potential there to support or reinforce each other, or to build on previous insights. In concrete terms, this resulted in a day on which we share that knowledge and plans for future research. After last year’s success, Flam3D would like to repeat the event again.

Business
We want to share all this bundled expertise not only among the research institutions themselves, but also with the companies that may be able to “use it”. Or who might want to join in future research. So they are very welcome to let that wave of insights roll over them for a whole day. The R&D Day also provides ample networking opportunities: the organization provides for cross-pollination between the various R&D departments, between research institutes and companies, and so on.

The R&D Day will take place on March 27 at Mikrocentrum in Eindhoven. The R&D Day has the ambition to become an annual meeting, so that this collaboration and knowledge sharing will become even more evident. More information
