In addition to the home services usually offered, the ADMR of Pont-de-Poitte will now offer a home meal delivery service, in partnership with La Poste, in all 14 municipalities in its area of intervention.

Namely Blye, Boissia, Briod, Charézier, Châtillon, Largillay, Marsonnay, Mesnois, Nogna, Patornay, Weight-de-Fiole, Pont-de-Poitte, Publy, Verges and Vevy.

Second partnership with La Poste in Jura

“The ADMR du Jura is already involved in the meal delivery service. We already have 16 services that provide meal delivery, but this is only the second partnership with La Poste that has been put in place, with that of the ADMR of Parcey,” explained Thomas Scrive, director of the ADMR federation of Jura, during the signing of the partnership agreement, Friday January 19.

“This meal delivery service is an activity that allows people to stay at home as long as possible. But it’s not just a technical service, it’s above all a social bond that allows isolated people to have daily contact.”

Delivery 5 days a week

Deliveries will therefore be carried out by La Poste postmen in insulated boxes respecting the cold chain, from Monday to Friday, before noon.

For weekends and public holidays, delivery will be done the day before.

The postmen involved are specially trained in relationships with the elderly, hygiene and food safety.

Meals are prepared by the central kitchen

The meals will be prepared by the central kitchen (SICOPAL) of Lons-le-Saunier whose “varied and balanced” menus are prepared every week by a dietician”, assured Didier Thévenet, the director. “They are made as much as possible with local, seasonal and, in some cases, organic products.”

The menus consist of a starter, a main course with garnishes, a cheese, a dessert and a piece of fresh bread, as well as an optional soup for the evening.

Meals delivered are charged €9 per day, or €10.20 with the soup option. Depending on each individual’s situation, assistance may be granted.

The service will be operational in February

This new service will be operational at the beginning of February, with initially five “guests” registered.

Anyone who may be interested is invited to contact the ADMR of Pont-de-Poitte to set up the order and delivery system.
