Many people accepted the invitation to the Advent concert in the Maria Dreieichen Basilica, so that all rows of benches in the church were very well occupied. Music lovers were offered a contemplative concert by the Pulkauer Stub’n Musi, the choir with baritone Mel Stein as soloist. Traditional Advent songs such as “It’s going to be so smooth” and “Leise ripples der Schnee” were also part of the program, as was “On a snowy Christmas night” by Stanlay Jay Gelber and the devotional yodel.

A focus of the concert was melodies by Udo Jürgens with lyrics by Wolfgang Hofer. The Jürgens titles “The Year of Your Dreams”, “Ice Flowers” and “Let There Be Light” were among those offered. Three Advent and Christmas texts were read by Mel Stein. Karin Wagner on the flute and Erke Duit on the piano accompanied the singing. Kurt Krenn was responsible for the overall management.

Host Father Michael Hüttl took over the final part of the successful event with thoughts on Advent.
