KSRTC is different from this in bringing uniform color code for tourist buses. The High Court has pointed out that it is illegal to put up advertisements on buses as well. Existing color code of vehicles cannot be changed whether in public sector or private sector. Considering this, the court said that it is illegal to have the advertisement posted on the KSRTC bus as well.
The High Court has instructed that if the vehicles are violating the law in any way, they should not be allowed to enter the road. The court directed that the motor vehicle department should not allow the modified vehicles to enter the road for any reason.
The High Court also stated that the use of modified vehicles in vehicle exhibitions is illegal. The court also examined the footage of an auto show held recently at a college in Malappuram. This auto show featured illegally modified vehicles. The court examined this in the context of receiving a complaint against it.
The Division Bench of the High Court found that the school authorities were also at fault in the Vadakancheri bus accident. A tourist bus that did not meet safety standards was used for the tour. The court pointed out that this was a failure on the part of the school authorities.
