“The opposition must vote massively†: Fátima Ortiz 2024-02-15 16:32:24

Lawyer Fátima Ortiz stated this Wednesday on the Platform program that the Nuevas Ideas party is betting on a qualified majority in the Legislative Assembly, thus not negotiating with the opposition.

On the other hand, he pointed out that if Nuevas Ideas lost the majority, its solution is to continue approving laws through negotiation.

“The opposition must vote massively, not be discouraged by the results of the polls, they have the possibility of winning seats and not disappearing, if this does not happen, a hegemonic party would be installed that would have absolute power.”he explained.

Ortiz added that Nuevas Ideas currently governs the 3 branches of the State, but that in the February 4 elections the voter has the opportunity to generate a balance in the legislative fractions.

Otherwise Ortiz said that “The only solutions we have are from New Ideas, but what if the opposition has better proposals for solutions to the country’s problems. Until now, only the official party can approve transcendental laws..

“Voting for a bench of New Ideas is voting for Nayib Bukele, there are no independent proposals from the deputies, nor have they been known in these 3 years.”he highlighted
