Aerospacelab joins forces with Amos to become a major Belgian player in space

The Belgian specialists in aerospace components, Aerospacelab and Amos announce their marriage. They thus pursue one objective: to pave the way for efficient and affordable access to space.

Growth on the agenda for Aerospacelab. The Mont-Saint-Guibert start-up, specialized in the production of satellites, announces the acquisition of 100% ofAmos. Since its creation in 1983, the latter has already made a name for itself in the space sector with its opto-mechanical systems.

“This merger marks a important step for the two aerospace companies opening new markets for them respectively and thus jointly entering a new era of advanced space technologies”, we read in a statement.

“The ultimate goal is to pave the way for efficient and affordable access to space.”

Little information is available regarding the agreement reached. The two actors talk at most of a marriage which will allow strengthen their presence on the market with a wider range and meeting more customer needs.

“By leveraging the talent and resources of the Amos team, as well as Aerospacelab’s extensive product portfolio, which includes turnkey satellites, satellite platforms, avionics and systems, the ultimate goal is to pave the way for efficient and affordable access to space.”

Note that Amos and Aerospacelab already share common shareholders: Noshaq and Wallonia Entrepreneurship.
