It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means! Excalibur, Taz and Jim Ross welcome us to the final edition of AEW “Dynamite” ahead of “AEW All Out” from NOW Arena in Chicago, Illinois. After the announcers’ welcome, Jon Moxley’s music plays and the AEW World Champion steps out to the ring. Despite defeating CM Punk, Moxley gets good reactions. He also addresses his opponent from the previous week directly and makes fun of him. Punk only lasted a few minutes against “the heart and soul of AEW”. Mox even goes so far as to claim that the foot injury was just an excuse since Punk knew he didn’t stand a chance. The so-called best in the world just isn’t what it claims to be, and that’s something the Chicago crowd finds hard to stomach. Punk’s body and psyche is weak and fragile, but enough about him. Moxley has an open contract that’s already signed and he drops it in the ring. Whoever signs that contract, that person won’t stand a single shot against the personification of wrestling. The warning is out and the champion’s music plays for the second time. When the segment is actually over, Ace Steel, one of the producers and a former wrestler, comes to the ring, pockets the contract and leaves the scene.
After going through the match card of the day, Chris Jericho is available for an interview at Tony Schiavone’s. Jericho would like to answer the question of who Stu & Owen Hart would call the best wrestler in the world. While the two would recognize Danielson as a good wrestler, he couldn’t compete with Jericho as he has changed the wrestling world enough times and he will do so again on All Out. Daniel Garcia arrives and apologizes for his behavior. He still sees himself as a member of the Jericho Appreciation Society and will be in his corner on Sunday.
1. Match
Singles Match
Bryan Danielson defeated Jake Hager via a pinfall after the Busaiku Knee.
Match time: 10:51
– During the match, Chris Jericho and William Regal were part of the commentary team.
– Especially at the beginning of the match, Hager clearly dominated his opponent.
The joy is short lived as 2point0 (Angelo Parker & Matt Menard) attack the match winner. Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli join them and the well-known brawl can begin. The Faces can dominate this one until Jericho wants to intervene with a chair, but then Daniel Garcia joins in too. He wants to prevent a chair attack, so his mentor is distracted and also has to take a Busaiku Knee. Danielson’s music plays again and Garcia can’t believe what he’s done.
After a commercial break, The Wingmen (Peter Avalon, Cezar Bononi, Ryan Nemeth & JD Drake) enter the ring. They complain that they are not on Dynamite’s match card again. In the future, Wednesday will be known as “Wingmen Wednesday”. We hear the music by W. Morrissey and he goes to the ring, where he quickly separates the four men. Stokely Hathaway is visibly impressed and watches the spectacle up close. After an impressive chokeslam on Peter Avalon, Hathaway presents the Big Man with his business card and the two want to leave the stage. But Tony Schiavone intercepts them and asks the question that’s on everyone’s hearts. What’s with the business cards? Hathaway calmly replies that it’s none of his business, but when asked, he raises his voice and grabs Schiavone. That ends this segment.
We see United Empire (Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis) in their dressing room and they are supposed to do an interview. Don Callis comes along and smears them a lot of honey around their mouths. Ospreay is seen by many as the next Kenny Omega, but he’s not, being the first Will Ospreay. But he is not enthusiastic and asks that Callis disappear.
2. Match
Tag Team Match
Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida win against Dr. Britt Baker DMD & Jamie Hayter (w/ Rebel) via Pinfall and Dr. Britt Baker DMD by Hikaru Shida after the katana.

We see a clip about Kip Sabian. He wore a cardboard box on his head for months and was ridiculed for it, but PAC fell for this simple trick last week. He also has his say and is anything but in a good mood. PAC certainly won’t cede its All Atlantic Championship to Sabian.
After another commercial break, we see another clip, but with Miro. Don’t be afraid of the House of Black. Especially not since he has Darby Allin and Sting to back him up. The two also join in and express their own displeasure with the House of Black. Sting utters a well-known wisdom, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Who can’t be missing in Chicago? Of course CM Punk! We listen to his music and he goes into the ring visibly dissatisfied. With tears in his eyes, he explains that he not only broke his foot a few weeks ago, but went through the entire match and thus made things significantly worse. He then underwent a serious operation. There were some things he shouldn’t have done in his career and last week’s match was one of them. His foot was 100 percent healed, but he didn’t know if these “new” 100 percent were enough. He came back a year ago because he loves the fans and unlike the business, they love him back too. He is ashamed because he disappointed everyone, the fans and his family. Maybe this love isn’t enough anymore either. Enough said, Ace Steel, the producer who picked up Moxley’s contract in the beginning, comes in. Not only is he one of the producers, but he is also one of CM Punk’s best friends and Punk never disappointed anyone. As he once said himself: Life is not about how many times you fall, but how often you get up again. Punk should get the hell together and sign this contract. The spark also jumped over to the fans. But Steel has also kindled the fire in the former AEW World Champion and he will challenge Moxley! Punk strides through the fans to the upper echelons, repeatedly emphasizing its connection to Chicago. He’s Chicago and that’s why Moxley will never defeat him in that city. The challenger continues to celebrate with the viewers until the segment ends.
We see Jim Ross’ interview with Jungle Boy and Christian Cage, which was recorded earlier in the evening. Both parties have contractually agreed that this interview will be purely verbal. This is not a problem for Christian as he will destroy Jungle Boy on “All Out”. Jungle Boy says he still considers Christian like family and he’s unsure which face of Christian is the real one. He replies that his current face is his real one and talks about Jungle Boy’s father. At this point he is immediately interrupted. He shouldn’t say that name and on Sunday he won’t face Jungle Boy but Jake Perry!
3. Match
6 Man Tag Team Match
Wardlow & FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) defeated Vic Capri, Sylas Young & Red Jones via a pinfall by Wardlow on Vic Capri after some powerbombs.

– Sonjay Dutt watched the match backstage and took some notes.
– This was a pure squash match
Jon Moxley apparently hasn’t said enough yet and comes back into the ring. If CM Punk really wants this match and wants to lose in Chicago, he’s welcome. This Sunday, the two will face off on “All Out.” But if Punk thinks he’s another miracle, Moxley has to disappoint him because Punk is in grave danger. In contrast to punk, Moxley is not “false messiah” but “The Real Thing”.
Now Tony Schiavone is standing in a dressing room at the Dark Order. Preston Vance is on a bench with crutches after injuring himself advancing to the semifinals of the Trio Title Tournament and unable to compete on Friday. Evil Uno confirms the injury but they have a plan. But before this can be pronounced, Andrade El Idolo comes along and offers a contract. He probably wants to buy the place in the semi-finals from the Dark Order. However, the Dark Order is not for sale, whereupon Evil Uno takes a few hits. Angry, Andrade pulls away again.
4. Match
Fatal 4 Way Match
Wheeler Yuta defeated Rey Fenix (w/ Alex Abrahantes), Rush & Dante Martin via pinfall to Dante Martin after a roll-up.

– During the move-in, it was announced that all four wrestlers will be in the Casino Ladder Match on Sunday.
– During the match, William Regal was part of the commentary team.
Now the rest of the Dark Order, ie John Silver and Alex Reynolds, is with Tony Schiavone. Evil Uno was knocked out and Preston Vance is injured, but if necessary they will also fight in twos. This is the cue for “Hangman” Adam Page. He assures the Dark Order that he will be her third husband.
After that, it’s time to announce Rampage. There will be the AEW World Trios Title Tournament semi-finals between the Dark Order and Hangman vs. Orange Cassidy and the Best Friends, plus Swerve in our Glory and The Acclaimed will have their say, plus Ricky Starks will face QT Marshall and Jade Cargill as well Athena will sit down with Mark Henry. Additionally, there is the rematch between Sammy Guevara & Tay Melo vs. Ortiz & Ruby Soho. Next week Wednesday on “Dynamite” Wheeler Yuta has to defend the ROH Pure Championship against Daniel Garcia. The Matchcard of “All Out” is also reviewed.
