Doha – Qatar’s Al Duhail and Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal in the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League Western Region. This is the first time that Al Duhail has entered the semi-finals of the AFC League competition.
Al Duhail defeated Saudi Arabia’s Al Shabaab by 2 goals to 1 in the quarter final match held at Al Thumama Stadium.
Defending champions Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal defeated Iran’s Foolad FC 1-0 to enter the semi-finals in the quarter-finals at Al Janoub.
If they win the semi-finals, Al Duhail will face Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds in the final in April. Urava won the finals of the Eastern Region competition. The semifinals are on Sunday.
