This event, scheduled the day before this Pan-African Banking Forum, will bring together key players from the banking sector and public administration as well as representatives of international financial institutions, regulators and relevant financial players.

The dinner debate will be moderated by the expert in the international financial field, Christian de Boissieu, Professor Emeritus of Economics at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Vice-President of the Cercle des Economistes and former President of the Economic Analysis Council .

In a context marked by security and economic crises, African banks are facing a major challenge. The need to reinvent themselves and demonstrate great agility to fully play their role in preserving Africa’s economic prosperity is more pressing than ever.

It is in this perspective that Professor de Boissieu will host this conference by exploring various themes linked to major global changes and development opportunities for the African banking sector.

Topics such as the permacrisis context facing banks today, digital transformation, ecological transition but also regulatory challenges will be addressed by Professor de Boissieu.
