The African Development Bank has announced a downward revision of its macroeconomic forecasts for Africa in 2023 and 2024.
And this while anticipating growth of 3.4% this year and 3.8% next year, due to the persistent effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, geopolitical tensions, climate shocks, and the global economic slowdown .
These adjustments reflect the short-term challenges facing African countries, highlighting the need for coordinated monetary and fiscal policies to address persistent economic shocks.
