After complaint about oncological drugs about to expire, Secretary of Health of Veracruz resigns

MEXICO CITY (appro).- Roberto Ramos Alor resigned from his position as secretary of health for Veracruz, Governor Cuitláhuac García announced.

In a message on his social networks, the president posted: “Today I have decided to accept the resignation of our dear friend and co-religionist Dr. Roberto Ramos Alor, whom I thank for giving myself to the great humanist principles of the doctor, attending to the health and the lives of others, even at the cost of their own,” he wrote.

In substitution, Gerardo Díaz Morales, who was already an advisor to the Veracruz government on health matters, was appointed as head of the office.

PAN senator Indira Rosales San Román denounced that the Health Institute for Welfare (Insabi) reported on May 11 that more than 884,000 high-cost oncology drugs and medicines with an expiration date were found in the central warehouse of the Ministry of Health located in the city of Xalapa.
