After Hervé Renard and Pirlo candidates, Claude Puel would have applied for the post of T1 of the Red Devils

This Tuesday evening was the deadline to apply for the post of T1 of the Red Devils. Among the candidates, big names have applied, in particular Andrea Pirlo, Hervé Renard, but also Claude Puel.

Whereas Robert Martinez was hired as T1 of Portugal, the place left by the Spanish coach is still to be taken. And we can say that the Red Devils always attract.

Whereas Thierry Henry said earlier today that he had not applied for the place, another Frenchman sent him his application according to It Newspaper : Claude Puel. Free since December 2021, the 63-year-old coach has a fine CV.

He was notably French champion with Monaco in 2000 and vice-champion of France with Lille where he launched Eden Hazard. The rest of his career will see him move to Lyon (vice-champion and semi-finalist of the C1), but also to Nice.

Then, the French coach will try his luck in the Premier League with Southampton and Leicester City before returning to Saint-Etienne until December 2021. If his rating has dropped lately, his CV will however be scrutinized carefully. by the task force composed of Peter Bossaert (CEO of the Belgian Football Federation), administrators of the URBSFA Sven Jacques (CEO of Antwerp) as well as Pierre Locht (CEO of Standard de Liège) but also of Bart Verhaeghe.

The wait is therefore not very long, since this Tuesday was the deadline for applying. We should therefore soon know the next coach.
