Railway workers and employees from other sectors on strike once morest the pension reform briefly invaded the lobby of the Euronext tower in La Défense on Thursday, following similar actions in previous weeks once morest other companies deemed symbolic.

Leaving a general meeting at Gare de Lyon, around 300 people took the RER to La Défense then ran to enter the hall of the tower, which they flooded with smoke bombs while chanting slogans, noted a AFP journalist.

Euronext owns the Paris Stock Exchange and six other European exchanges.

“We chose the Paris Stock Exchange because it is the symbol of the CAC 40. We want the CAC 40 to go to the fund to finance our pensions with their crazy dough”, launched Fabien Villedieu, trade unionist of Sud-Rail .

“We are here, even if Macron does not want to, we are here!” they intoned, remaining a few minutes inside before leaving, without damage or clashes.

Last week, strikers led by railway workers similarly invaded the lobby of LVMH headquarters and, the previous week, a Parisian building hosting financial companies including the world’s largest asset manager, BlackRock.
