The Syndicate of Representative Professions issued an official statement to the makers of the series “Why not” to delete the scene of insulting the theater department of the Faculty of Arts
And the statement said: “The Syndicate of Acting Professions denounces what came in one of the scenes in the series (Why not), where a dialogue took place between two actresses about the Faculty of Arts, Department of Theater Sciences, and that acting is “what is serious in the Academy of Arts.
And the statement continued: “The Board of Directors of the Syndicate of Acting Professions notes that the theater departments in all Egyptian universities are pioneering departments, and the greatest acting professors in Egypt and the Arab world taught in them, including Saad Ardash, Ahmed Abdel Halim, Ahmed Halawa, Khalil Morsi, Rania Fathallah, Jamal Yaqout, Farid Al-Naqrashi, Abeer Mansour, and Nabila Hassan. Abu Al-Hassan Salam and Nabil Al-Alfi, and others, and graduated from them actors at the highest level.
The statement added: “Therefore, the Syndicate of Acting Professions calls on the company producing the series (Why not) to delete the aforementioned scene out of respect and appreciation for the art of theater, its professors, and the ancient Egyptian universities, especially the faculties of arts and theater departments.”
