The Saudi Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority announced at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, on Thursday, that it had “thwarted an attempt to smuggle a quantity of Captagon pills amounting to 2,972,400 pills, which were found hidden in a consignment coming to the Kingdom through the port.”
The authority stated that a consignment was received to the Kingdom through the port of King Abdulaziz Port, which consisted of “wooden planks”.

The Saudi Press Agency reported.SPAAccording to the authority, “After completing the seizure process, coordination took place with the General Directorate for Narcotics Control to ensure the arrest of the recipients of the seizures, and (…) the two persons, who numbered two, were arrested.”
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority affirmed that it is “continuing to tighten customs control over the Kingdom’s imports and exports, and stands guard against attempts by smugglers, in order to achieve the security of society and protect it from these pests.”
