If and only if Anne Hidalgo, at the worst in the voting intentions, made the wise decision to withdraw. Finally, the two men quickly discussed a possible agreement for the legislative elections.
On this last point, the national secretary of EELV firmly reaffirmed his position: “If Anne Hidalgo goes to the end, there will be no agreements in the legislative elections”, he confirmed to World. To the chagrin of the PS, which still hopes for an alliance, even limited to around a hundred constituencies. In this respect, Pierre Jouvet, national secretary of the PS in charge of the elections, evokes “a beginning of dialogue, which does not mean that there are negotiations”. Nothing seems quite definitive.
On the presidential question, on the other hand, Olivier Faure received Julien Bayou’s proposal quite coldly, because the socialist no longer has the political means – if only he had had the idea – to disconnect the mayor of Paris to settle down behind Yannick Jadot. Even if this phone call can be seen as another attempt at common sense, voters on the left who call for unity should not rejoice too quickly. The solution is not found to date, resistance is still strong on both sides.
