For now, this paid service has only been launched in Indonesia and Brazil.

Known for being one of the most used applications for videos, the TikTok social network has decided to think bigger. Indeed, the platform via to launch its streaming music service, soberly called TikTok Music.

This new paid service is currently only available in Indonesia, for 2.68 euros per month and in Brazil, for 3.14 euros. The social network explains that this new offer can be synchronized with the users’ already existing accounts, according to The Parisian.

Through this new medium, TikTok did not really have the ambition to revolutionize the world of music streaming. Indeed, TikTok Music offers the same services as Spotify, Apple Music or Deezer.

Small difference however, Tiktok Music offers the possibility to users to comment on the songs, and also to be linked with other TikTokeurs having the same musical tastes.

In reality, the announcement of this new platform is not really a surprise. In May 2022, ByteDance, parent company of TikTok, filed a trademark application for this famous service.

Subsequently, TikTok Music might also embark on radio broadcasting or podcasts.

For the moment, no information has filtered on the possible launch of this new service in other countries.
