« The Minister of Youth, Dr Yves Bunkulu, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korean firm Startup for the creation of an electric motorcycle factory“, we read in an article written by our colleagues at Deskeco.

Our colleagues specify that This initiative will make it possible to develop initiatives in the field of agri-food; to equip more than 3,000 electric motorcycles to support the ministry’s agricultural brigades and the training of young people.

For his part, we read in the article, Minister Bunkulu expressed his satisfaction for the happy outcome of this project which awaits the materialization stage. He expressed his availability to work on several other projects.

« The DRC spends more than a billion US dollars on importing food products. The various initiatives of the Ministry of Youth offer opportunities for all those who would like to enter one or the other sector, even that of transport with electric motorcycles“, said the minister.

For his part, the boss of Startup International, Park Man Il, indicated that this agreement with Startup DRC Ltd Kinshasa will make possible the training of young Congolese in trades and agriculture for easy access to employment.

It should be noted that the DRC is one of the rare countries with a large number of young people. According to official sources, 60% of the Congolese population is made up of young people.
