“And groundhog day – that sums up this game. As a coach I learned today that I failed to emphasize the importance of closing the middle, we mustn’t be too high and we can’t be too low – that cost us two goals today. We usually lose games very closely, even today, although we were okay for long stretches of this game. In the second third we had a headwind and unfortunately we left our game plan there, which gave the opponent some counterattacks, which he also used very well. It was positive that we found a way out of this situation and turned it up once more in the third section. The morale was right, now it’s regarding us coaches giving the team self-confidence and conveying it so that the team can get through this bitter phase with many one and two-goal defeats.
