Artist Ahmed Saad said, “What happened with him in Tunisia is an individual case of non-professional personalities who do not represent the people of Tunisia and its respected media,” indicating that he was motivated and eager to present a wonderful concert in Tunisia.
He added, during a phone call to the “Happening in Egypt” program, presented by the journalist Sharif Amer on MBC Egypt, on Tuesday evening, that he was amazed at what happened with him in Tunisia, especially since he was planning to present a concert that he had not performed before.
He noted that the poor organization had begun since his arrival at the airport, commenting: “There is no Arab who will take me, and a friend and his wife have arrived at the hotel, and I stipulated in the contract that I would not be able to conduct press interviews after the ceremony; Because I was unusually nervous.”
He indicated his keenness to provide his best. Therefore, he stipulated that no press interviews be held, adding: “There are details in the press conference that must be verified. The circumstance was not appropriate and there was no room for me in the theater, and I also adhered to the terms of my contract.”
He pointed out that he delivered a brief speech to the media before the start of the ceremony, in which he affirmed his respect, love and appreciation for them, and that he had dreamed of the day he would sing in Tunisia for a long time, and then he went directly onto the stage.
And he continued: “I was surprised by a strange need in the second song that I had not received before. 5 girls came to the stage and danced randomly and unorganized, although I did not conduct rehearsals with them and it was the first time I saw them, but the audience has no guilt.”
He denied the existence of a relationship between the video he posted on his pages, and the Syndicate of Musical Professions’ request of him to apologize, explaining that the Syndicate took the decision because of its strong love and respect for Tunisian women.
He noted that the decision was issued without referring to him, but they contacted him after its issuance, concluding: “They do not know that the virtuous lady organizing the party is not a symbol of the Tunisian woman. The union understood the situation and will issue a statement, and the Tunisian union itself issued a statement of apology.”
And the Syndicate of Musical Professions, headed by Mostafa Kamel, issued a statement yesterday evening, Monday, against the background of the crisis that occurred between Ahmed Saad and the organization of his last concert, due to her breach of the terms of the contract concluded between them, and he demanded that she be silent and not interrupt him while he made statements to some Tunisian media to explain the circumstances of what happened, but The lady took advantage of Ahmed Saad’s break from his calmness and kept screaming, refusing him to tell her to “shut up” in this way.
She said that it was an insulting word to her as a Tunisian woman, and she continued to attack him and incite Tunisian public opinion against him. The matter reached the Musicians Syndicate in Tunisia, which sent an official letter to its counterpart in Egypt asking it to investigate Ahmed Saad for his verbal abuse of the Tunisian woman. The Egyptian Syndicate responded and obliged Saad in its statement to apologize to all Tunisian women. .
