Air India flight rape: Accused Shankar Mishra claims that the complainant urinated on herself

New Delhi | Accused Shankar Mishra has denied the charge in the incident of urinating on the body of a fellow passenger in an Air India flight. Shankar Mishra told the court that the complainant had urinated on herself. Shankar Mishra made a strange argument in the Delhi court hearing the case.

The bail plea filed by Shankar Mishra was rejected by Metropolitan Magistrate Komal Garg the other day. The petition was dismissed with the observation that it was not proper to grant bail to Mishra at this stage of the investigation. The Sessions Court had sent a notice to Mishra on a petition filed by the Delhi Police seeking his custody for questioning. Additional Sessions Judge Harjot Singh Bhalla is considering the plea filed by the Delhi Police once morest the Metropolitan Magistrate’s order remanding Shankar Mishra in 14-day judicial custody.
