After taking over the Tata Group, Air India made a historic move. 500 jetliners will be purchased. According to media reports, the decision is to buy jetliners from Airbus and Boeing.
The decision is to buy 400 narrow-body jets and 100 or more wide-body jets, including the Airbus A350, Boeing 787 and 777. It is reported that more information about this will come out in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Airbus and Boeing declined to comment on the news. Tata Group has not responded on the matter.
