The social consultation of air traffic controller Skeyes resulted in an agreement on Wednesday following a day of negotiations. This will be submitted to the joint committee on Friday, Kurt Callaerts of the Christian union ACV Transcom reported Wednesday evening.
Union actions are therefore excluded for the moment. “Passengers can be reassured, no action will be taken“, declared the union official. Unions and management met once more on Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. The consultation resulted in an “agreement” a few hours later in the evening which will be submitted on Friday, also declared the spokesperson of Skeyes. The company does not expect any collective action from staff.
The three Skeyes unions had filed the notice last month due to their dissatisfaction with the personnel planning mechanism. “If no solution is found by then, actions and strikes might take place in all or part of Belgian airspace“, ACV Transcom, ACOD Telecom-Vliegwezen and VSOA then declared in a press release.
