Is 100% green aviation a smokescreen?
Using a quarter of the world’s renewable electricity to make 1% of humanity fly would not make sense. The number of flights must be reduced, says engineer Marc Muller.

The figure gives the measure of the challenge to be met: we Swiss burn 1.8 million tonnes of kerosene a year, just for take-offs. The fuel needed for return flights being brought to the (dis)credit of the countries from which one returns.
