A man called the police on Friday morning because he was hit in the shoulder by an airgun cartridge and suffered minor injuries. He stated that someone had previously fired several times from the window of an apartment building in Favoriten.
The alarmed officers of the city police headquarters in Favoriten were able to quickly identify the apartment from which the shots had been fired. They requested support from the WEGA special unit.
The WEGA officers opened the apartment door and found two 17-year-old boys there. The two youths have been arrested. The airgun and the associated ammunition were found in the apartment and secured.
Since there is already a ban on weapons once morest the boys, they were not only reported on suspicion of bodily harm and intentional endangerment of the community, but also under the Weapons Act.
The young men did not initially comment on the allegations.
