Airpods no longer have the same success as they once did

Apple would have reduced its orders by 30%.

Once very popular, the Airpods today would struggle to convince the consumer, or, however, would struggle to meet their sales targets. According to the famous analyst Ming Chi Kuo, Apple would have reduced its orders from its suppliers by 30% to avoid the accumulation of stocks.

Despite their better autonomy, the support of spatial audio and a slight redesign, the headphones would have a hard time seducing and especially convincing the owners of old models to upgrade their equipment.

Since their marketing, the promotions multiply on the sites of e-commerce, an index which does not lie.

Ming-Chi Kuo believes that if the third generation Airpods have trouble convincing, it is mainly due to their lack of novelties. Consumers would thus prefer to turn to older models, often sold at a much lower price on the market. Market competition is also much tougher with the arrival of many new players on the market, who often distinguish themselves from Apple by bold choices in terms of design.

One thing is certain: Apple has its work cut out for the fourth generation of Airpods which will have to be much more attractive to find their audience.
