A year ahead of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, airstrikes resumed across Ukraine, damaging civilians and infrastructure.
Belarus, which shares a border with Ukraine, has been raising the possibility of participating in the war, but has officially denied the rumor for the first time.

Russian forces resumed airstrikes across Ukraine yesterday.
The Office of the President of Ukraine said that Russian forces fired at least 36 cruise missiles, and missiles that evaded air defenses fell all over Ukraine.
The attack killed a 79-year-old woman and injured seven others in Djpropetrovsk, central Ukraine, and also set fire to critical infrastructure in the western Lviv region.
While nationwide airstrikes continued, Russian ground forces were concentrated on the Eastern Front.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced yesterday that it had broken through two lines of Ukrainian defense in eastern Luhansk.
The Wagner Group, a Russian private mercenary company, said, “We will be able to capture Bahmut, a key point on the Eastern Front, around March or April this year.”

“The Russians have a lot of troops. They’re sending out a lot of troops. I don’t think it’s sustainable for them to keep attacking in this way. In some places, there are only corpses piled up.”
Meanwhile, Belarus, which has been constantly raising the possibility of participating in the war through joint military exercises with Russia, has officially denied the rumor.
“We are ready to fight on Belarusian territory together with Russia only if our territory is invaded,” Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko told local media yesterday.
