9 free events and 7 free city tours promote more togetherness in Vienna

More space for more togetherness in Vienna: The AK Vienna free summer program “Summer in the City” is offering nine free events and seven free city tours this summer. With the selection of venues in the 10th, 15th, 20th or 21st district, the AK wants to draw attention to where more free and green meeting places are needed for people in Vienna. On the program: two open-air cinema events, circus workshops, a concert, democracy workshops, wheel repair workshops or roller skate discos and summer festivals. There is something for all age groups. “Because of inflation, many have to cut back on vacation and leisure time. It is therefore all the more important that there is more space and more opportunities for free togetherness in the city,” says AK President Renate Anderl.

At the same time, the AK is committed to more green and recreational areas in the city, especially in the districts, where people live cramped, rarely have a garden or balcony and can hardly avoid the heat.

Today is the start of the Grätzlfest on Reumannplatz, the conclusion will be celebrated on July 27th on Floridsdorf’s Pius-Parsch-Platz.
